Role Description The Owner role at Public Gold Marketing Sdn Bhd is a full-time, on-site position based in Perak, Malaysia. The Owner oversees overall business strategy, operations, and financial performance, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and long-term growth objectives. Daily responsibilities include guiding senior leadership, making key investment and expansion decisions, monitoring business performance, and maintaining strong governance and compliance standards. The role also involves building and managing relationships with strategic partners, regulators, suppliers, and major customers across regional and international markets. In addition, the Owner champions innovation, brand positioning, and organizational culture, while mentoring leaders and teams to achieve sustainable results.

Qualifications

Strong leadership, people management, and decision-making skills to guide senior teams and drive organizational performance.
Proven experience in business strategy, financial management, and operational oversight within trading, retail, or related industries.
Knowledge of precious metals, financial markets, or commodities, with the ability to evaluate risks and opportunities in regional and global contexts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for engaging partners, regulators, investors, and customers.
Ability to develop and implement growth initiatives, including market expansion, digital platforms, and cross-border collaborations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and governance capabilities, with a focus on integrity, compliance, and transparency.
Entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-evolving, multi-market business environment.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field; equivalent experience in entrepreneurship or senior leadership is also valuable.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Malay and other regional languages is an advantage.
