Job Description

Summary of the role

You'll lead packaging development for new and improved products, ensuring packaging solutions work end-to-end from design to plant execution, supporting trials and validation, resolving line issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver business, quality, and continuity goals.

What you'll be doing

  • Packaging project delivery: develop and implement packaging for NPD/ renovations, line extensions, business continuity and CI, including equipment or line changes.
  • Trials, validation & troubleshooting: coordinate trials, shelf-life/ sensory support, packaging validation, and provide SME support for plant/quality troubleshooting.
  • Documentation & technical rigor: build and secure technical documentation, design of experiments, label keylines, packaging specs, and validation reports.
  • Team & stakeholder leadership: coach technologists/ technicians, bring new materials/ technologies to improve value, and strengthen partnerships across Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics and Finance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Packaging Technology/ Materials Science/ Engineering/ Food Science (or equivalent).
  • At least 4 years of packaging product development experience or 5 years in packaging manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging tech and machinery; familiar with cans, glass/ plastic bottles and laminate films, plus manufacturing/logistics considerations.
  • Able to produce technical reports, drawings/keylines, DOE and packaging specifications.
