Job Summary:
The Padel Club Manager is responsible for the oversight and strategic growth of the club. This is a hands-on role that requires a blend of operational excellence, community building, and business development. The manager will be the face of the club, leading a small team to drive all aspects of the business, from daily court operations to partnerships and sponsorships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the club&aposs revenue beyond court bookings
- Proactively seek, negotiate, and manage partnerships and sponsorships with relevant brands
- Work with external coaches to optimize coaching schedules and offerings
- Identify opportunities for additional revenue streams
2. Customer Service & Community Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all players, providing exceptional service and handling inquiries
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance player engagement and retention
- Organize and promote regular events to attract new players and foster a vibrant, active community
- Manage and respond to club communications, such as social media and WhatsApp groups
3. Club Operations & Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, including court bookings, payments, and facility upkeep
- Ensure the club maintains a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and functionality at all times
- Manage and optimize the booking system to maximize court utilization and revenue
4. Staff Leadership & Development:
- Lead, train, and manage the club&aposs team
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and supervision of new team members
- Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment
5. Administrative:
- Manage the club&aposs operational budget, and oversee retail inventory
- Generate regular reports on club performance, including court utilization, revenue, and community growth
Requirements:
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in event planning and coordination
- Experience in partnerships and sponsorships is an advantage
- Knowledge of padel or similar sports
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to be present during the club&aposs busiest hours
- Basic understanding of marketing and promotions
- Proficiency in computer software and applications
- Previous experience managing a sports club or similar facility is a plus
Compensation:
This role offers a base salary plus a robust performance-based commission structure that directly rewards your efforts in driving revenue-generating initiatives.
