Responsibilities

  • Assist lawyers in drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents (NDAs, resolutions, share transfers, basic to complex contracts).
  • Support the firms company secretarial clients, including maintenance of statutory registers, MyCoID filings, and SSM compliance.
  • Handle client onboarding forms, due diligence documents, and agreement signing coordination.
  • Liaise with clients for document collection, signatures, and updates.
  • Manage email, calls, and scheduling for lawyers or cosec officers as needed.
  • Track and update filing deadlines and corporate records.
  • Assist in incorporation processes (e.g., preparing documents, following up on SSM, updating internal systems).
  • Organize and archive digital files, and maintain good documentation.
  • Ad-hoc administrative tasks and office support.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work physically in Taman Danau Desa, Kuala Lumpur.
  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Law, Corporate Administration, Business or related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Preferred 12 years experience in a law firm, company secretary firm, or legal admin role.
  • Tech-savvy and willing to adopt firm productivity tools.
  • Good understanding of Companies Act 2016 and/or legal documentation practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Docs, MyCoID, MBRS and e-signing tools (preferred).
  • Fluent in English & BM. Mandarin proficiency is a bonus.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and reliability.
  • Able to work independently, think critically, and adapt to changing priorities.
