Job Description

Job Responsibility

Production & Quality Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end bakery process, from ingredient preparation to final decoration.
  • Maintain a clean environment and uphold the highest hygiene standards.
  • Ensure ingredients and finished products are handled and stored safely.

Order & Workflow Management

  • Efficiently take, process, and plan production based on customer orders.
  • Orchestrate seamless workflows to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Inventory & Reporting

  • Conduct regular inventory checks and manage ingredient stocks.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on production and sales activities.

Job Requirements

Educational Background:

  • A diploma or certification in Baking and Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
  • Additional coursework or training in kitchen management is highly desirable.

Experience

  • At least 2 years experience in cake baking production.
  • Fresh graduates and junior candidates are welcome to apply as well and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Demonstrated ability in kitchen management, including production planning, inventory management, and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Salary negotiable, based on experience and skills

Technical Skills

  • Baking Proficiency
    • Solid foundation in baking techniques with an emphasis on consistent product quality.
    • Basic understanding of ingredient properties and interactions, with advanced knowledge being an advantage.
  • Cake Decorating Skills
    • Competence in essential decorating techniques and tools (Training will be provided).
    • Familiarity with methods like frosting, piping, etc. is a plus.
  • Kitchen Management
    • Competence in managing kitchen operations, such as organizing workflow, coordinating baking schedules, and supervising kitchen staff.
  • Equipment Handling
    • Comfortable using standard bakery equipment like mixers, ovens, and piping bags.
  • Recipe Development & Adaptation
    • Capability to follow and adapt recipes, with experience in creating new recipes being a bonus.
Interpersonal Skills

  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, artistic baked goods.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure product freshness and timely order fulfillment.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Positive attitude.

Digital Skills

  • Proficiency in computers and mobile apps to track orders and arrange deliveries.

Language Proficiency

  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
  • A basic to standard grasp of Bahasa Malaysia
