Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Executive to manage end-to-end payroll processing. This role ensures timely, accurate payroll execution while maintaining compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Payroll Processing:

  • Process accurate and timely payroll for contractors, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Calculate salaries, deductions, taxes, and benefits, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage payroll disbursement and coordinate with Finance for payments.

Compliance Management:

  • Ensure payroll compliance with tax regulations, labour laws, and client-specific requirements.
  • File tax submissions, contributions, and other regulatory reports on time.
  • Monitor changes in local regulations and update processes accordingly.

Issue Resolution:

  • Address contractor payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Work with contractors and clients to clarify pay-related issues or adjustments.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the EOR Ops Manager as needed.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and reports for audits and compliance checks.
  • Generate regular reports on payroll performance and contractor payment trends.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Collaboration:

  • Work with Contractor HR Specialists to ensure seamless integration of onboarding data into payroll systems.
  • Coordinate with external EOR partners to ensure payroll accuracy for contractors in other countries.
  • Partner with the Finance team to track payment statuses and manage reconciliations.

Skills/Requirements

  • Min 1 2 years of working experience in HR & Payroll functions.
  • Expertise in Malaysia payroll systems and processing. Familiarity with Singapore payroll is a plus.
  • Understanding of local labour laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills for payroll accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
  • Ability to identify and resolve compliance risks promptly.
  • Decision-making for prioritizing payroll tasks and addressing discrepancies.
  • Proven success in managing payroll for large contractor volumes with high accuracy.
  • Overtime is required during payroll peak.
