Job Description
- Assist the Payroll Manager in transitioning payroll activities from various countries, including but not limited to Japan and South Korea. Responsibilities include collecting documentation, HR policies, calendars, and FAQs.
- Work closely with the current Payroll SME in each country to ensure a smooth transition through shadowing, parallel runs, and hyper care.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations and corporate policies during and after the migration process.
- Identify and implement process improvements by streamlining workflows and removing redundancies.
- Manage the day-to-day payroll operations, including implementing operational changes, addressing audit recommendations, and refining internal controls to ensure payroll services meet the SLA requirements for assigned countries.
- Provide support for employee queries related to payroll topics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the People Services Team and collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence.
- Ensure all services comply with corporate policies, procedures, and applicable local or federal regulations.
- Manage escalations, resolve complex cases, and maintain strong customer relationships as needed.
Requirement
- Over 5 years experience in Payroll Services operations, including multi-state or multi-entity payroll and experience with international payroll processing.
- Experience of working with an outsourced and in-house Payroll Services Delivery model is preferable.
- Strong communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and a customer-service mindset.
- Deep understanding of HR best practices, compliance, and process improvement methodologies.
- Proficient with HR payroll systems such SAP and experienced in using HR ticketing tools like ServiceNow.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and act accordingly.
- Able to speak Mandarin & Japanese (added advantages but not mandatory)
