Payroll Specialist

Work Location: Penang Island

Working Days: 5 days

Job Description: -

• The efficient administration of monthly payroll and all related monthly payments
• Ensuring that statutory payments (i.e., EPF, SOCSO, PCB, etc.) of all employees and the company to the respective government authorities are done in an efficient and timely manner
• Managing, administering & updating all employee records for all employees
• Undertaking all duties relating to the payments of bonuses, increments, promotions etc. in a timely and effective manner
• Assisting in Performance Appraisal Exercise of all employees annually & as and when required by management
• Assisting the manager in periodic salary surveys and reviews to ensure salaries are competitive
• Assisting the manager in creating & implementing Compensation & Benefits related policies
• Undertaking all salary surveys to ensure that the company's pay scale and Pay Setting Guides are up to date and competitive to attract new hires
• Assisting the manager to undertake the KPI (Key Performance Indicators) exercise for the company
• Assisting the manager to undertake the Collective Agreement Mandate in relation to salary increments & salary adjustments
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.

Candidate Requirements: -

• Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, or related field
• 1 to 3 years of payroll experience
• Experience with InfoTech HR system is an added advantage
• Knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and statutory requirements
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Meticulous and detailed-oriented
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Confident and comfortable communicating with employees, candidates, and stakeholders at all levels).
• Able to handle high workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to travel outstation from time to time according to business needs
