Responsible for directing and assisting in the preparation, distribution, and accounting of employee payroll. Supervises the day-to-day workflow of direct reports.
Responsibilities
Supervises in-house Payroll function to include the development, implementation, maintenance, management, and direction of payroll operations. Ensures compliance with all federal and state legislation and deadlines. Ensures that appropriate controls are in place and administered. Reviews, develops, and implements payroll processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency. Works with Apps IT and Product Development on product enhancements and reports. Ensures that all payroll processes are thoroughly tested before implementation. Provides specialized payroll and deduction information and assistance as needed. Liaison with internal and external audit on payroll issues. Resolves escalated internal payroll issues. Provides assistance and training to staff for development.
