Job Description

Responsibilities

Commodity Strategy (30%)

  • Develop sourcing strategy to ensure that suppliers are capable of meeting Coherent's current and future technical and business requirements
  • Geographic supplier base is considered to meet customers requirement
  • Lead and drive all supplier development activities aggressively

Supplier Management (30%)

  • Lead suppliers performance review (SBR)
  • Supplier risk management to ensure material COS(continuity of supply)
  • Participate suppliers system audit
  • Manager suppliers relationship
  • Contract review

Price and Cost Reduction (30%)

  • Take lead on driving material cost reduction by negotiation, VAVE, sourcing, bidding, and etc.
  • RFQ, Price maintain/approve in oracle system
  • Should cost model and benchmark analysis to make sure our price is competitive

Price maintenance and order approval (10%)

  • Price update and maintenance in oracle
  • Order approval

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong technical background with a BS or above combined with business sense
  • Minimal 5 years of experience in PCBA commodity management/supply chain management
  • Experience & knowledge of contract manufacture management, especially for contract manufactures operation & process, including SMT and surround technology including glob top, underfill, flip chip, BGA reworking, testing, press fit, conform coating, etc..
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in fiber optics industry and cost structure
  • Self-starter sets aggressive goals and drive teams to closure and success.
  • Risk management and negotiation skill
  • Good program management and data management and analysis capability
  • Perfect English communication and present skill
