Job Description

The right support can make all the difference in an employee's journey.

As a People Business Partner at Star Learners, you'll be a trusted partner to our employees, line managers and senior leaders across the employee lifecycle. From onboarding and employee administration, to performance management, engagement and exits. You'll provide practical, timely guidance on people matters while helping ensure our practices are fair, consistent and aligned with employment legislation, regulatory requirements and organisational policies.

You'll work closely with stakeholders to solve people-related matters, strengthen the employee experience and support a positive workplace culture. You'll also contribute to People policies, processes, communications and initiatives that help our people and organisation grow.

Responsibilities

. Provide practical guidance on People matters across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee engagement and exits

. Research and apply prevailing employment legislation, labour policies and regulatory requirements, including Tripartite Standards, requirements relating to foreign nationals and the Fair Consideration Framework

. Manage onboarding processes, including drafting and issuing employment contracts and ensuring relevant statutory terms and benefits are appropriately addressed

. Develop and deliver clear, timely employee communications on matters such as performance reviews, timelines, benefits, claims eligibility and administration, payroll deductions, retirement, re-employment and termination

. Partner with line managers and senior management to address people-related matters, providing trusted advice and practical solutions that support both employees and organisational needs

. Support senior management in implementing employee engagement initiatives that strengthen motivation, performance and fulfilment of organisational goals

. Advise line managers on voluntary employee exits and support a smooth and positive employee experience through the transition

. Contribute to the development and implementation of People policies, processes and procedures that enhance operational effectiveness and employee experience

. Build positive and trusted working relationships through strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement and a people-centred approach

. Support ad-hoc People initiatives and projects as assigned

Requirements

. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field from a recognised institution

. Minimum 2 years of HR experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role experience in the preschool industry will be an advantage

. Sound knowledge and understanding of HR policies, procedures and local employment laws

. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels

. Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong analytical, multitasking and problem-solving skills

. Self-disciplined and trustworthy, with the ability to handle confidential information with integrity

. Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities

. Able to work independently while contributing positively as part of a collaborative team
