Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in performance testing and banking applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LoadRunner and/or JMeter, working on complex application architectures and integrated banking systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end performance testing activities including test planning, scripting, execution, monitoring and reporting.
- Work with stakeholders to understand Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), business flows and application architecture.
- Analyse complex banking solutions involving multiple applications, integrations and technologies.
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter, WebLOAD or other load testing tools.
- Define, develop and finalise performance test script frameworks.
- Identify and prepare appropriate test data and performance test environments for different load test cycles.
- Execute load, stress and performance tests according to defined scenarios and requirements.
- Configure application monitoring counters and/or work with third-party APM/monitoring tools.
- Analyse test results and identify performance bottlenecks, issues and observations.
- Prepare high-level execution summaries and detailed performance test reports.
- Present performance test findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Interact with client POCs to clarify requirements, resolve issues and communicate performance observations.
- Identify and validate business-critical scenarios for performance testing.
- Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure and application teams throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
Requirements
- 5–6 years of relevant experience as a Performance Test Engineer / Performance Tester.
- Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as HP LoadRunner and/or JMeter.
- Experience in performance testing for complex banking applications and integrated systems.
- Experience working with multiple applications and technologies within an enterprise environment.
- Exposure to Mainframe and/or AS400 environments is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and QA processes.
- Banking domain experience is highly preferred, particularly in:
- Cards
- Payments
- Loans
- Core Banking
- Other banking applications
- Experience in NFR analysis, workload modelling, test scenario identification and performance test planning.
- Strong experience in performance test scripting, execution, monitoring and result analysis.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- 8+ years of experience within the banking/financial services domain.
- Experience supporting large-scale banking architectures involving multiple applications and integrations.
- Experience with Mainframe, AS400 and APM/monitoring tools.
- Experience working directly with clients or external stakeholders.
