Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Personal Financial Consultant role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Personal Financial Consultant provides tailored financial advice to clients, including needs analysis, goal setting, and recommending suitable banking and investment solutions. The role involves promoting CIMB's consumer and wealth products, managing a portfolio of clients, and proactively identifying opportunities to deepen relationships. Daily tasks include conducting client meetings, preparing financial plans, following up on leads, completing sales documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The consultant collaborates with branch and product teams to deliver high-quality service, support campaigns, and contribute to branch sales and service targets.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Services, with the ability to understand banking products, investment options, and risk considerations.
  • Demonstrated experience in Financial Planning, including client needs analysis, budgeting, and goal-based advisory.
  • Background in Consulting, with skills in problem-solving, client engagement, and presenting clear recommendations.
  • Proven Sales capabilities, including prospecting, closing deals, and achieving or exceeding performance targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, branch-based environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in banking or financial services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in basic office and CRM software; comfort with digital banking tools and platforms.
  • Fluency in English and local languages, with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
