Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Selangor. The Pharmacist will dispense and verify prescriptions, counsel patients on medication use, and provide advice on disease management, health screening, and preventive care.
The role includes monitoring drug interactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
The Pharmacist will collaborate with nutritionists, dietitians, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated healthcare services. Additional responsibilities include managing inventory, supporting health campaigns, and contributing to a high standard of customer service and professional ethics.
Qualifications
- Recognized degree in Pharmacy and valid registration with the Pharmacy Board / relevant professional body.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and prescription review; ability to identify drug interactions and contraindications.
- Patient counseling and communication skills, including the ability to explain medication use and health information clearly and empathetically.
- Attention to detail in documentation, dispensing accuracy, and adherence to regulatory and safety requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to community health programs and initiatives.
- Integrity, professional ethics, and commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Willingness to work on-site in a retail/community pharmacy environment and adapt to operational needs, including shifts and weekends as required.
