Pharmacist

Responsibilities

Assist Pharmacy Manager to manage the day to day functioning of the Pharmacy Department

Offer advice on the prescription and use of medications to medical, nursing and pharmacy staff

Dispense medication to patients and provide advice on how to take them safely. Counsel patients and appropriate dosing and routes of administration

Supervise the prescriptions dispensed to patients to ensure their safety, quality, and compliance with applicable law

Perform activities in the pharmacy area according to hospital policies and directives, standard practices of the profession and pharmacy legislation

Monitor medication therapy as assigned by medical staff, suggest alternative medication therapy when appropriate

Supervise staff compounding, label and package medications and pharmaceuticals

Ensure medications are dispensed with clear instructions and correct labeling to patients

Qualifications

Graduate from the university recognize by Ministry of Health - Bachelor Degree of Pharmacy / Science (Pharmacy).

Registered Pharmacist and possesses a valid annual Retention Certificate issued by the Pharmacy Board, Ministry of Health.

Minimum 1 year of working experience in hospital pharmacy premises

Knowledge in purchasing and inventory control

Good interpersonal and communication skills
