Company Description Lecadia PrimaCare Centre is a nursing home that provides long-term accommodation and comprehensive nursing care for older adults, including those with chronic illnesses and disabilities. The center focuses on supporting aged individuals, senior citizens, and geriatric patients who require ongoing assistance in daily living and medical management. Nursing care is delivered by qualified Staff Nurses (SRNs), supported by well-trained care assistants to ensure consistent and safe services. Role Description The Physiotherapist will provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to residents with age-related conditions, chronic illnesses, and physical disabilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating functional mobility, designing individualized therapy plans, conducting regular physiotherapy sessions, and monitoring progress to adjust interventions as needed. The role involves close collaboration with nursing staff, physicians, and family members to support safe mobility, pain management, fall prevention, and overall quality of life. The Physiotherapist will also maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in multidisciplinary care planning, and educate residents and caregivers on exercises and safe movement techniques. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur.
Qualifications
- Recognized degree or diploma in Physiotherapy and current professional registration or eligibility to practice.
- Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings, preferably working with older adults and individuals with chronic conditions or disabilities.
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, including the ability to design individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs.
- Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, mobility training, and use of assistive devices and rehabilitation equipment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work respectfully with residents, families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate clinical records, follow care protocols, and adhere to safety and infection control standards.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity in caring for diverse resident populations.
- Willingness to work on-site full time in Kuala Lumpur and participate in continuous professional development.
