Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Planner 2, Production Planning to join our production planning team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing production schedules that optimize our manufacturing operations while ensuring efficient resource utilization. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to analyze demand forecasts, manage inventory levels, and drive continuous improvement in our production processes.

  • Develop, maintain, and update production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity
  • Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on production plans and timelines
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust production plans to balance supply and demand effectively
  • Prepare comprehensive production reports and performance analysis for management review
  • Manage and maintain production planning systems and databases to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
  • Identify and resolve production constraints and scheduling conflicts in a timely manner
  • Support capacity planning initiatives and resource allocation strategies
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement projects to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs
  • Communicate production status updates and forecasts to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in production planning, demand planning, or related supply chain role
  • Strong proficiency in production planning principles, demand forecasting, and inventory management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems and production planning software
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and supply chain management processes
  • Proficiency in scheduling and capacity planning methodologies
  • Preferred: Experience with advanced analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Preferred: Experience with supply chain optimization techniques
