Meraque Group is a leading robotics and drone technology company specializing in Autonomous Ground Vehicles (AGVs) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). As we continue to scale our production capabilities, we are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to lead our AGV/UAV manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate is a proven operations leader with deep expertise in robotics, automotive, or advanced electronic systems production, someone capable of driving world-class operational excellence, quality, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Setup & Strategy
- Lead the end-to-end setup, commissioning, and expansion of the plant, including layout planning, equipment installation, production line design, and capacity scaling.
- Establish plant-level operational strategies, SOPs, and performance frameworks aligned with global best practices in robotics manufacturing.
2. Production & Operational Excellence
- Oversee all AGV/UAV production operationsfrom assembly and testing to integration and final quality output.
- Ensure production targets, takt times, and delivery schedules are consistently achieved with high accuracy and efficiency.
3. Process Optimization & Innovation
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies.
- Implement data-driven solutions to reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance overall plant performance.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with ISO and industry quality standards for robotics and manufacturing.
- Oversee quality assurance frameworks, testing protocols, and documentation to maintain premium product reliability and performance.
5. Leadership & Workforce Development
- Lead, coach, and develop production teams, supervisors, and line leaders to foster a high-performance, accountable, and safety-first culture.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, training, and competency development across the plant.
6. Cost Management & Resource Optimization
- Manage plant budgets, optimize material flow, and improve cost efficiency across all production processes.
- Oversee inventory, consumables, tooling, and maintenance planning to ensure uninterrupted operations.
7. Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Champion a zero-incident safety culture by enforcing strict compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and internal guidelines.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Project teams to support product enhancements, new product introductions (NPI), and scalable production solutions.
- Provide plant insights to management for strategic decision-making and operational planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of plant/factory management experience, preferably in:
- Autonomous Ground Vehicle (AGV) manufacturing
- UAV/drone production
- Robotics, automotive, or electronics production environments
- Proven expertise in plant setup, production line optimization, and complex assembly operations.
- Strong understanding of ISO standards, QMS, and safety compliance.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Highly analytical, hands-on, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
