Position Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for achieving company production and sales targets by ensuring production tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and quantity requirements. This role oversees overall plant operations, productivity improvement, cost control, safety, and people management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop production plans based on customer orders and plant capacity to ensure timely, quality, and quantity output.
- Organize, implement, monitor, and supervise daily production operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized production environment.
- Balance annual production goals and prepare monthly production plans accordingly.
- Control raw material usage, product defect rates, and overall production costs.
- Communicate closely with Supply Chain and Sales teams regarding production status and delivery schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement through the application of new technologies, processes, and equipment to enhance productivity and quality.
- Propose and apply for major production machinery, tools, and facility upgrades when required.
- Provide on-site leadership and direct production activities when necessary.
- Supervise, guide, and evaluate subordinates while monitoring production performance and operational data.
- Establish and maintain production-related documentation, including quality standards, technical procedures, work instructions, and equipment management documents.
- Lead manpower planning, recruitment, interviews, training, and performance management for the Production Department.
- Ensure strict compliance with quality, environmental, and management systems, and guide departmental operations accordingly.
- Act as the company's Safety Person-in-Charge, overseeing workplace safety and 5S implementation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related Science & Engineering disciplines.
- Formal training in production management, management principles, leadership development, and basic financial management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production or manufacturing management.
- Strong technical knowledge with a good understanding of product processes and production workflows.
- Solid knowledge of production management principles and best practices.
- Familiar with national laws, regulations, and local industry policies.
- Awareness of industry trends, market conditions, and key competitors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related office software.
