The Opportunity: Real Engineering, Real Impact
We are looking for a hands-on
Plant Operations Intern to join our team. This is not a role where you will just sit at a desk; you will be on the production floor, using data to solve real production bottlenecks, improving line efficiency, and helping us drive our Smart Factory initiatives.
You won't just be watching from the sidelines; you will partner with our Production Leaders to analyze why machines stop, how to reduce waste, and how to make our lines run faster and safer.
What You Will Do:
- Process Improvement Detective: Analyze production data to identify the root cause of downtime. Why did the filler stop How can we reduce dosing waste You will recommend and help implement engineering solutions.
- Operational Support: Instead of managing staff, you will partner with Shift Supervisors to understand daily workflows, assist in labor planning, and ensure production schedules are met efficiently.
- Data & Digitalization: Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to monitor equipment performance. Help us transition from manual tracking to digital tools using Google Sheets, Excel, or Minitab.
- Cross-Functional Projects: Work side-by-side with Quality, EHS, and Engineering teams on plant-wide reliability projects (FP&R).
- Equipment Reliability: Assist in evaluating machine performance (OEE) and troubleshooting basic process design issues to address downtime.
Who You Are:
- Curious: You always ask why when things break.
- Brave: You are comfortable walking the factory floor and talking to operators to get the real story.
- Analytical: You trust data over opinions.
Key Requirements:
- Duration: Must be available for a minimum of 6 months (Crucial for completing meaningful improvement projects).
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred).
- Academic: Current CGPA of 3.0 and above (We value hands-on capability and passion as much as grades).
- Tech Savvy: Strong proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel is a must. Knowledge of statistical tools (SPSS, Minitab) or PowerBI is a huge advantage.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
