Job Description

Job Responsibilities

To manage discretionary client portfolios and unit trust portfolios with the objective of consistently delivering returns that exceed their respective benchmarks, while fully adhering to all investment mandate parameters. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth company visits, performing investment research, and carrying out fundamental analysis on both prospective and existing holdings. The role also involves contributing to the formulation of the overall investment strategy and macroeconomic outlook, as well as ensuring timely and effective client servicing as required.

  • Provide comprehensive ASEAN equity market coverage, focusing on Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
  • Deliver monthly country strategy updates covering macro outlook, political and policy developments, earnings trends and revisions, key risks assessments, and technical market indicators.
  • Lead monthly stock selection recommendations for Conventional and Shariah portfolios with clear investment rationale.
  • Maintain active stock coverage, including timely initiations, monitoring, and updates.
  • Monitor and interpret key geopolitical developments, including major global conflicts, regional tensions, and their implications on macro, commodities, energy markets, and FX.
  • Translate geopolitical trends into clear portfolio impact assessments and provide actionable investment insights to support portfolio positioning and risk management.
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor as required.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a strong bachelor's degree and/or relevant professional qualifications in finance, economics, investment, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in an investment management, asset management, or related buy-side environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent investment performance and ability to generate positive returns.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate investment views clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholder
