Portfolio Strategist

Responsibilities

Propose investment and thematic ideas:

-Identify investment trends and opportunities in one or more of the following areas:

1) Macro

2) Fixed Income

3) Equity

4) FX/Commodities

5) Alternatives

6) Technical/Quantitative analysis.

-Contribute towards the strategic and tactical asset allocation process

-Maintain regular interactions with industry experts to keep abreast of market developments

Proliferation of house views:

-Develop and ensure quality of written publications as well as presentations

-Communicate house views and investment ideas to both internal and end clients

Process initiatives and governance:

-Drive squad-related initiatives including MVPs to address pain points and improve productivity

-Work within Maybanks compliance and risk framework

Performance of business growth:

-Contribute towards GWMs revenue, profit and AUM growth objectives

Requirements

Have relevant experience in an investment-role

Knowledge of multi-asset allocation from a strategic and tactical perspective

Ability to identify and develop initiatives to drive business growth

Managing multiple tasks through strong analytical and implementation skills

Strong professionalism with high level of integrity and ethics

Good written, oral and presentation skills in English

Additional language skills: Chinese/Malay/Bahasa would be ideal
