Job Title: Power BI Solutions Lead

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Position Overview: We are seeking a Power BI and D365 BI Solutions Lead to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of advanced business intelligence (BI) solutions using Power BI, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365 (D365). The ideal candidate will possess expertise in BI solutions, data visualization, Power BI administration, and D365 deployment, with hands-on experience in designing custom pages, canvas apps, and integrating with .NET, WebAPI, and JavaScript technologies. This role will involve collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, create technical specifications, and ensure the efficient deployment of Power BI solutions across environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Power BI Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the design and development of advanced BI solutions utilizing Power BI, focusing on creating impactful dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Report & Dashboard Maintenance: Oversee the development, maintenance, and performance tuning of Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to ensure optimal user experience and data accuracy.
• Power BI Object Management: Utilize Power BI Object Manager to manage and deploy BI objects across various environments, ensuring smooth transitions and consistency.
• Performance Tuning & Administration: Ensure the optimal performance of Power BI applications, including efficient data models and visualizations, and perform regular administration tasks for system health.
• Requirement Gathering & Technical Specifications: Collaborate with business customers to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure BI solutions meet business needs.
• Standardization of Development & Administration Processes: Develop and enforce standardized processes for Power BI development, deployment, and administration to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• BI Framework & Semantic Layers: Define and architect Business Intelligence frameworks, including semantic layers, BI Metadata repositories, and data models that support comprehensive reporting and administration.
• D365 Integration & Deployment: Lead the integration of Power BI solutions with Dynamics 365 (D365) for operational reporting, financial reporting, and management dashboards.
• Team Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Technology Learning & Application: Continuously learn and apply new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the capabilities of Power BI and related BI solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Power BI Expertise: Extensive experience in Power BI development, administration, and deployment. Proficiency in Power BI Object Manager and Power BI Developer roles.
• D365 Integration: Experience integrating Power BI with Dynamics 365 (D365), including custom pages, canvas apps, and other Power Platform solutions.
• BI Architecture: Deep understanding of Business Intelligence frameworks, semantic layers, BI Metadata repositories, and designing BI solutions for management and financial reporting.
• .NET, WebAPI, JavaScript: Solid hands-on experience with .NET, WebAPI, and JavaScript for custom development and integration within BI solutions.
• Data Warehousing & BI Concepts: Strong knowledge of data warehousing methodologies, BI metadata, and best practices for data modeling and reporting.
• Technical Leadership: Proven experience leading BI solution implementations, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Problem-Solving & Performance Tuning: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in optimizing Power BI performance and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage business stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members. Certifications in Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or related BI tools.
