Client Requirements Analysis: Engage with smart city clients to deeply understand their business requirements, pain points, and operational challenges. Facilitate effective communication to gather, structure, and analyze key information that supports the development of tailored and practical solutions.
Smart City Solution Design and Planning: Lead the design of end-to-end smart city solutions based on client needs and industry practices, covering areas such as data collection, transmission, storage, analytics, and applications. Ensure solutions are innovative, feasible, secure, and cost-efficient.
Technology Selection and System Integration: Evaluate a wide range of technologies and products in the smart city ecosystem. Select suitable hardware, platforms, and sensors, and drive seamless system integration to ensure compatibility and long-term stability of the solution.
Solution Presentation and Client Engagement: Prepare professional solution documents and presentation materials. Conduct solution walkthroughs and presentations to clients, clearly explaining solution value, differentiators, and implementation roadmap. Address client queries and support business development efforts.
Tender and Proposal Support: Support public and private sector tender processes by preparing technical solution documents. Work closely with sales and commercial teams to develop cost estimates, propose pricing strategies, and improve the win rate of bids.
Industry Insights and Innovation: Keep track of developments in smart city technologies, government policies, and market dynamics in Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region. Continuously incorporate the latest trends and innovations into the solution portfolio to maintain a competitive edge.
Job Requirements:
Education Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Urban Planning, Spatial Planning, Computer Science, ICT, or other relevant disciplines. A Master's degree or international study experience is an added advantage.
Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pre-sales or solution design experience in the smart city or ICT industry. Familiar with smart city planning, digital transformation needs, and government digitalization. Track record of delivering at least 3 successful projects.
Technical Skills: Solid understanding of smart city-related technologies such as IoT, Big Data, Cloud Computing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Proficient in solution design and documentation tools such as Visio and PowerPoint. Strong data analysis and processing skills. Experience in applying AI technologies in smart city scenarios is a plus.
Soft Skills and Attributes: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, both locally and across regions. Fast learner with innovative thinking and problem-solving mindset. Able to work under pressure and deliver results within tight timelines.
Language Proficiency: Proficient in both English and Mandarin. Able to communicate effectively in a business context with local and regional stakeholders.
Additional Requirements: Smart city-related certifications are preferred. Must be willing to travel frequently for client engagements, meetings, and project coordination.
