Job Description

Position Summary

  • The APAC Pricing and Solutions Manager supports the Asia Pacific region by providing pricing, engineering, and solution design inputs for new business proposals and continuous improvement initiatives. Based within the Finance function, the role works closely with the Regional Manager, Engineering, and Business Development teams to develop competitive, standardized, and data-driven logistics solutions aligned with GXO Engineering Standards.

Responsibilities

Solution Design and Pricing:

  • Developing pricing and solution design for APAC new business and re-tender opportunities.
  • Develop warehouse and logistics solutions aligned with GXO Engineering Standards and approved design frameworks.
  • To support opportunity owners in helping to source or identify suitable sites to run the projected business and then work out the requisite warehouse layout accordingly.
  • Provide labour modelling, productivity assumptions, and engineering inputs for RFPs and commercial proposals.
  • Perform data validation, profiling, and analysis to ensure accuracy of operational and financial assumptions.
  • To build the cost model as per GXO internal standards and then convert the requirements into rate cards as part of the RFP or contract renewal process.
  • Conduct material handling equipment (MHE) sizing, specification, and scheduling to support solution feasibility.
  • Evaluate automation concepts and assess fit-for-need based on operational, volume, and cost requirements.
  • Prepare Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing for equipment and automation proposals.
  • Presenting to the customer or internal stakeholders on a per need basis; key need is ability to explain and advocate for proposed solutions.
  • Support business development initiatives through solution refinement and value engineering.
  • Support opportunity owners in going to sites (which may necessitate domestic or international travel) to current GXO sites to understand processes and set up, prospective sites to understand suitability, and customer sites to assess requirements as part of solution design process.

Implementation and Operations Support:

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analysing existing operations and identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Assist in post-award handover to implementation and operations teams, where required.
  • To assist with specific implementation tasks especially in tandem with vendors on site as needed.

Governance:

  • Complete the GXO cost model and work with Opportunity Owner to build business cases and work through the necessary approvals (project approval form) in compliance with GXO finance standards.
  • Ensure consistent application and leverage of GXO standards, benchmarks, and best practices across proposals.

Automation and Vendor Sourcing:

  • To support procurement function in helping to identify partners who may be able to deliver solutions to fulfil requirements as part of overall warehouse design.
  • To work out and coordinate requirements needed based on both new projects (from RFQs and RFPs) and existing projects (to support continuous improvement initiatives from operations and operations excellence).

Qualifications Summary:

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse engineering, solution design, or pricing-related roles.
  • Prior involvement in RFP responses, cost modelling, or logistics solution development.
  • Experience working with regional or multi-country stakeholders within Asia Pacific would be an advantage.
  • Experience working with automation would be an advantage.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
  • A professional certification in logistics (such as CLTD from ASCM), project management (CAPM, PMP) would be an advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and solution modeling skills.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, labor standards, space, productivity and cost modeling.
  • Familiarity with MHE systems and automation concepts.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into commercial and operational solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and presentation tools; exposure to simulation or design / drafting tools would be an advantage.
