Job Title : Principal AI Architect

The Role

This is a fully hands-on architect role. You'll write production code, design schemas, and build systems alongside the team — not create slide decks. If you haven't coded recently, this role is not a fit.You will lead the RCG implementation track within Pathfinder, design federated knowledge graph architectures for clients, and work directly with the Founder & CEO.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement RCG schemas, ontologies, and KG patterns
• Build production systems using Python, Cypher/Gremlin, LangGraph, and AI tooling
• Develop and operate enterprise-scale knowledge graphs on Neo4j and Amazon Neptune
• Design federated KG architectures for multi-tenant deployments
• Lead technical discussions with client architects and CIOs
• Mentor engineers and contribute to patents, white papers, and product roadmap.
  
  

Must-Haves

• 8–12 years in software engineering, including 3–4 years in AI/ML systems
• Actively coding and shipping production systems today
• Deep knowledge graph experience with Neo4j, Neptune, TigerGraph, Cypher/Gremlin/SPARQL
• Strong Python and orchestration framework experience (LangGraph/LangChain)
• Hands-on GraphRAG, ontology-driven reasoning, or KG-augmented retrieval experience
• Daily use of AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot
• Experience building enterprise-grade systems with governance, lineage, observability, and multi-tenancy
• Degree in CS, Math, Computational Linguistics, or related field from a top institution.
  
  

Preferred

• MS/PhD in graph theory, ML, or knowledge representation
• Open-source contributions or technical publications
• Experience with SAP/ERP data models
• Background in AI-first or product companies
• Strong AWS architecture experience (Bedrock, SageMaker, Neptune, Lambda, IAM).
  
  

Not a Fit If

• You're no longer hands-on with coding
• Your KG experience is only academic or experimental
• You rely on broad but shallow tooling knowledge
• You don't actively use AI coding assistants
• You've only worked in research or slide-driven consulting roles.
