Your mission

As a Principal Engineer on the product engineering team, you'll own the architecture and technical direction for our AI products, including but not limited to Dime Terminal. You'll work closely with security, product, and engineering teams across the company. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience building and securing LLM agent infrastructure, and applied finance experience. This role sits at the intersection of AI infrastructure and finance. You'll set direction on the highest-ambiguity problems in the system, where the model, untrusted app code, and real financial value all meet.

What You'll Do

• Agent Architecture: Architect and build a scalable platform for users and AI agents to orchestrate intent across platforms and applications.
• Custom AI Model: Design and build the best LLM model for finance that is efficient and cost effective for users.
• Security Architecture: Own the security architecture of enabling users to increase their leverage with AI while protecting their secret keys
• Technical Leadership: Shape the system for years to come. Continually discovering and integrating new technologies to further advance our AI harness and ecosystem.
  
  

What You Bring

• Proven Experience: 10+ years of backend and distributed systems engineering, including experience owning a system's architecture from concept through production at scale, ideally as a technical lead or principal level engineer.
• AI and Agent Systems Expertise: Hands on experience building or operating AI agent infrastructure, including tool use orchestration, sandboxed execution, and defenses against prompt injection and other model level attacks. Experience with agent orchestration frameworks is a strong plus.
• Security and Identity Architecture: Deep experience with secrets management and workload identity systems, with a track record of designing systems that hold up against a compromised or malicious participant, not just a well behaved one.
• Cryptocurrency Knowledge: Proficient understanding of the cryptocurrency ecosystem and underlying technologies like blockchain, proof of work, proof of stake, and layer one and layer two networks.
• Finance Infrastructure: Experience building systems where correctness is not negotiable, such as ledgers, balance enforcement, and idempotent transaction handling, ideally in a regulated or crypto adjacent environment.
• Technical Leadership: A track record of setting technical direction across teams and driving alignment on ambiguous, high stakes problems without needing them fully scoped out in advance.
