Principal Subsea Engineer

Position Summary:

The Principal Subsea Engineer is a subject matter expert in advanced pipeline and subsea engineering. This role involves solving complex technical challenges, leading projects or functional teams, and ensuring engineering integrity across all deliverables. The position requires deep expertise in pipeline finite element analysis (FEA) and advanced analysis, along with broad knowledge of subsea engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed design and analysis for subsea pipelines and structures in compliance with design basis, codes, and standards.

* Prepare and review engineering deliverables including design reports, calculations, specifications, and procedures.

* Lead technical direction for advanced analysis and provide guidance to designers and junior engineers.

* Interface with multiple disciplines and departments to ensure clash-free, integrated designs.

* Support tendering activities: review documents, prepare CTRs, evaluate bids, and assist in vendor selection.

* Review vendor and subcontractor submissions for compliance and provide technical comments.

* Assist procurement with technical evaluations, requisitions, and bid tabulations.

* Conduct design verification checks (single-discipline and inter-discipline).

* Provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases, including defect rectification.

* Participate in project meetings, audits, and offshore site surveys as required.

* Mentor and supervise engineering staff; provide training in specialized techniques and software.

* Ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget; raise change notifications and support variation orders.
