Job Description

Role Summary

The Private Cloud Solution Sales Specialist is a customer-facing, consultative sales role responsible for driving adoption of secure, sovereign, and resilient private cloud solutions for Government, Public Sector, and regulated enterprises.

This role owns end-to-end private cloud solutioning, including Huawei enterprise servers and storage platforms, alongside Nutanix HCI, Red Hat OpenShift, Veeam data protection, and Dell Technologies infrastructure.

The specialist serves as a trusted advisor to public agencies and critical infrastructure operators, translating policy, security, and operational requirements into deployable, supportable architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive solution-led sales engagements with:

  • Government ministries and statutory boards
  • Public sector agencies and government-linked entities
  • Regulated and CII organisations/Enterprises

Navigate government procurement and tender frameworks, including:

  • RFIs, RFPs, and large-scale multi-year contracts

Position private cloud as:

  • A sovereign and on-premises-first platform
  • A policy-aligned alternative to public cloud
  • A resilient foundation for sensitive and mission-critical workloads

Co-Lead solution design together with the presales and solution architect incorporating:

  • Huawei enterprise servers (compute platforms for private cloud and virtualisation)
  • Huawei enterprise storage (block, file, object; performance and capacity tiers)
  • Nutanix HCI & AHV
  • Red Hat OpenShift (container platform and PaaS)
  • Dell enterprise compute and storage (where applicable)
  • Define reference architectures

Ensure architectures meet:

  • Data sovereignty
  • Security and audit requirements
  • Operational and lifecycle sustainability

Own Dell/Huawei infrastructure positioning within private cloud solutions,

Align Dell/Huawei server & storage solutions with:

  • Virtualisation and HCI platforms
  • OpenShift container workloads
  • Backup, DR, and cyber recovery (Veeam)

Lead or contribute to Government and Public Sector tenders and Regulated Enterprises

Develop:

  • Solution architectures and bill-of-materials (BoMs)
  • Technical compliance and requirement matrices
  • Risk, dependency, and assumption sections

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience selling or solutioning Government / Public Sector IT infrastructure

Strong understanding of:

  • Government procurement and tender processes
  • Compliance-driven buying behaviour
  • Long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder governance

Strong solution knowledge across enterprise compute, storage, and private cloud

Hands-on or pre-sales experience with:

  • Dell / Huawei enterprise servers and storage
  • Nutanix HCI and virtualisation
  • Red Hat OpenShift
  • Enterprise backup and DR (Veeam)

Ability to connect infrastructure design to policy, security, and operational outcomes

Experience in system integrators, telcos, or large infrastructure vendors preferred

Preferred Certifications

  • Huawei HCIP / HCIE (Datacom / Storage / Cloud)
  • Nutanix Sales or Technical certifications
  • Red Hat OpenShift certifications
  • Veeam VMCE
  • Dell Technologies solution or sales certifications pn server and storage

Success Measures

  • Win-rate of solution-led tenders
  • Architecture quality and compliance scores
  • Customer trust and long-term account expansion
  • Strong alignment between sold solutions and delivered platforms
