Process Costing Assistant Manager Business Development

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -

1) Costing & Financial Analysis

* Establish and maintain the detailed cost models for all products and services within DHAS, considering 4M elements (Man, Method, Machine, Material)

*Prepare, review and maintain process costing reports for products and services

* Monitor material, labor and overhead costs to ensure accurate allocation

* Conduct variance analysis between standard and actual costs, highlighting root causes.

* Support budgeting and forecasting activities during Annual Management Planning (AMP) sessions with cost-related inputs

* Support management in pricing decisions by providing cost-based profitability insights

2) Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

*Identify inefficiencies in costing process and recommend improvements

* Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Logistics and related departments to streamline workflows

* Implement cost control measures and monitor their effectiveness

3) Compliance and Reporting

* Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal policies and audit requirements

Prepare related reports for management review based on needs

* Assists in internal and external audits related to costing and inventory valuation

4) Stakeholder Engagement

*Provide cost insights to management for pricing, profitability and strategic decisions

*Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and accuracy in cost data

* Cooperates with Procurement and Transportation teams to evaluate supplier pricing and impact on overall cost structures

5) Strategic Contribution

* Review and analyze cost drivers and suggest optimizing strategies

* Participate in cross-functional projects and process re-engineering

6) Others

* Job scope covers all operations areas including PKFZ, Pekan and future locations

* Carry-out any other tasks or responsibilities as and when required by the Company or Superior
