Process Development Expert - Specialty Fats and Oils (Malaysia / Indonesia)

Description

Our client, a global player in the agribusiness sector is seeking a seasoned Process Development Expert to enhance manufacturing performance and support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple regional facilities. The role may be based in either Malaysia or Indonesia and involves close engagement with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will act as the key technical authority for specialty oils and fats processing, providing expert guidance across a network of manufacturing sites globally. You will spearhead initiatives aimed at improving process stability, throughput, and product consistency by leveraging data, on-site experimentation, and systematic process evaluation. Working in partnership with plant management teams, you will help embed standardised operating practices and drive alignment with global manufacturing objectives. You will also evaluate and introduce new processing technologies, engage with external technology providers and research partners, and contribute to the advancement of manufacturing systems through structured development and innovation programmes.

Requirements

You hold a Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Processing, or a related discipline, with at least 10 years of experience in specialty oils and fats processing. You have a proven track record in process development, optimisation, and successful plant trial execution. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills are essential. You are confident influencing stakeholders and are comfortable working with manufacturing leaders across global operations. Candidates currently based in Malaysia or Indonesia will be highly regarded.
