Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our team. This role spans both the bidding stage and detailed engineering design during project execution, requiring strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
Bidding Stage
- Review tender documents and technical specifications.
- Attend site visits, prepare reports, and issue Requests for Information (RFI).
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
- Develop, manage, and control all process deliverables including design calculations, mass balance, equipment sizing, and related documents in a systematic e-filing database.
- Ensure compliance with internal workflows and standards.
- Send RFQs for equipment specifications and cost sourcing.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes.
- Conduct cost budgeting aligned with scope of works.
- Assist in developing process drawings (PFD, P&ID, mass balance, plant layout).
- Prepare technical clarifications and participate in post-bid technical meetings.
- Present in internal/external bid clarification meetings.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and provide visibility on direction and results.
- Conduct lab-scale studies to determine treatment solutions (if required).
- Coordinate across multiple disciplines to gather required information.
- Collaborate with Gradiant entities when necessary.
- Developing AutoCAD drawing such as PFD, plant layout, etc.
- Perform process engineering design.
- Manage and control all process deliverables and engineering design documents systematically.
- Ensure compliance with standards set by the Project Management Team (PMT) or Technical Project Manager (TPM).
- Assist in developing engineering drawings (PFD, P&ID, Hydraulic Diagram).
- Ensure all process-related documents comply with standards and are properly documented for submission to internal teams and external parties (clients, consultants, vendors).
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in tender preparation and process engineering design.
- At least 5 years related experience in industries where water and wastewater treatment is a core part of environmental management, ensuring clean water supply and safe disposal of wastewater. Companies providing treatment technologies, consulting, and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of PFD, P&ID, hydraulic diagrams, and mass balance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines.
