Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • The section to handle is: Middle of Line/OSA assembly which includes optical alignment processes and passive attach of optical components.
  • Responsible for making sure process yield target and UPH target are met and are in control.
  • Manages current product ramp up, making sure processes are ready, qualified and documented and in control.
  • Manages new product transfer, making sure process are ready, qualified and documented.
  • Conduct DFM, FMEA.
  • Settle process and quality issues in Middle of Line/OSA assembly.
  • Process capability/CPK improvement projects.
  • Yield improvement/scrap reduction projects.
  • HPU/UPH improvement projects, Cost saving projects.
  • Handles Engineers and Technician.

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics/Electrical) or its equivalents with at least 7 years of relevant work experience in electronics/semicon manufacturing specifically on process engineering.
  • Experience in optical alignment/ optical sub assembly is highly preferred.

Skills

  • Leadership capabilities to manage a team of > 15 Engineers and >15 technicians.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving.
  • Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
  • Expert in SPC, DOE, FMEA, DFM.
