Process Excellence & Productivity Manager

Purpose of the position

The incumbent is expected to ensure proper mechanism and dashboards are available for proper performance management of the plants. The performance of the plants is also monitored and opportunity for improvements and action plans are identified and tracked.

The incumbent is also expected to explore greater opportunity for digitalisation in all business functions including the plant operations. The incumbent will also ensure that a system is in place to track the competency gaps within the organisation and plans and programs are in place to bridge those gaps and improve the competency development of the team.

Principal responsibilities

Productivity Improvements

Instils the importance of safety in every staff and achieve zero accident in area of responsibility.

Support the planning, implementation and reporting of productivity improvement programs for On-Site

operations.

Support implementation and compliance of Quality, Safety, and values of the company.

Identification of gaps and opportunities for On-Site operations/ Packaged Ops/Business process/

Distribution/procurement.

Work closely with all stake holder/project leader in a timely execution of identified productivity improvement.

Ensure capex project deliver as per plan saving business case

Support the safe, efficient and reliable operations of all sites so that the country's product cost base is always

competitive in the market and comparable to the global prices.

Provide an environment where every employee is willing to contribute to the success of the company and

Ensure that every employee in every division is willing to contribute to the productivity, TQM and safety

aspirations and the vision of the company.

Training and development of high potential staff to have an effective succession plan.

Conduct LSS yellow belt training for the new joiner >1 years.

Ensure access to the technology of the company and its dissemination and application internally.

Data Analysis

- Conduct full lifecycle analysis include requirements, activities and design. This will also include monitoring of performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

o Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that

optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

o Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

o Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

o Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Digitalization

- In the age where digitalization is evolving the faade of the industry, we need to ensure that we keep in pace so

that we can continue to remain competitive and relevant.

- To promote and support the implementation of digitalization projects.

Required behavior & key skills (functional/technical)

- Functional and technical competence.

- Knowledge of ASU production techniques & hazard involved in operation and maintenance of process plants

- Process operation experience.

- Familiar with Linde & relevant national & international codes and standards

- Familiar with local technical statutory requlations (eg. Operating licensing etc.)

- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrument and process control subjects

Required qualifications/experience

- Bachelors/Master's in chemical or Mechanical Engineering

- Minimum 8 years working experience in similar role or capacity.

- Lean Six Sigma Green belt/Black belt.
