Job Description

Job Purpose

Lead and coordinate Body Shop launch activities to ensure readiness across processes, resources, timelines, and cross-functional teams for successful new model introduction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Body Shop launch activities across all functions (Stamping, Welding, Paint, GA, Supply, Industrial, IT).
  • Track and drive key KPIs (quality, timing, cost, supply readiness) during launch phase.
  • Lead and manage regular project and operational meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Ensure plant readiness for launch, including:
  • Process and shop readiness
  • Facility and ICT readiness
  • Supplier nomination and parts availability
  • Monitor launch schedule and ensure all milestones are achieved on time.
  • Coordinate pre-series parts supply and internal material flow readiness.
  • Identify risks, escalate issues, and drive timely resolution with relevant stakeholders.
  • Capture lessons learned and ensure improvements are implemented for future launches.
  • Work closely with Shop Launch Manager to track WPI targets and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards (MCE) and support continuous improvement in quality, cost, and efficiency.
  • Prepare and support milestone reviews (e.g. MRR, CX grid) and participate in launch governance forums.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Experience in Body Shop / Welding is preferred
  • Experience in new model launch, manufacturing engineering, or plant project coordination is required
