Process Manager (F/M)

Localisation : Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

MISSIONS

Reporting functionally and hierarchically to the Equipment Activities Associate Director and collaborates closely with Process Experts and other stakeholders, the Process Manager will:

Process Activities

  • Lead, organize, and manage the workload of the Process Team, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop Junior Process Engineers, promoting continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure all required standards (calculation notes, software tools, drawings, templates, etc.) are accessible and properly maintained for the Process Team.
  • Review and approve deliverables during bidding and detailed engineering phases, with support from Process Experts for critical equipment or units.
  • Manage and supervise start up activities, ensuring proper coordination with project execution teams.
  • Consolidate and report technical feedback on ongoing projects and operational units to support continuous improvement.

Proposal Activities


  • Prepare and/or validate technical offers in accordance with client requirements and internal standards.
  • Manage and oversee process-related activities during the bidding stage.
  • Support Proposal Managers on complementary bidding activities such as CAD reviews, GA development, and planning inputs.
  • Assist Proposal Managers in monitoring and evaluating supplier quotations for process related packages.
  • Prepare budget sheets and estimates for process activities within proposals.
  • Participate in technical clarification meetings with clients when required.

Other Activities


  • Oversee recruitment activities for the Process Department to maintain adequate competencies and capacity.
  • Support Regional Sales Manager for technical presentation to the client or during conventions.
  • Support the Regional Sales Manager in technical presentations to clients, including conferences, seminars, and business development events.
  • Perform annual performance appraisals for all team members, ensuring clear evaluation of objectives, competencies, and development needs.

Knowledge And Required Level


  • At least 20 solid years experience and comprehensive knowledge of process activities in the Oil & Gas industry, covering proposals, feasibility studies, project execution, and operational support.
  • Proficiency in basic and detailed process design using standard simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, PRO/II).
  • Familiar with applicable industry codes, standards, specifications and regulations in O&G sector.
  • Demonstrated experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, demanding environment requiring strong organization, rigor, and responsiveness.
