Job Description

Position : Process Optimization Engineer

Industry : Oil & Gas

Location : Kuala Lumpur

Job Description:

Perform process engineering calculations and simulations to evaluate and optimize production systems.
Utilize process simulation tools such as HYSYS and PIPESIM to analyze system performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Monitor and analyze operational data to identify process inefficiencies and recommend optimization strategies.
Provide technical support to operations and cross-functional teams for troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
Assist in production system modeling, well performance analysis, and flow assurance evaluations.
Support operational planning and performance improvement initiatives for upstream facilities.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and recommendations for operational optimization.
Participate in onshore and offshore site visits when required.

Qualification/Skills:

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably with an upstream operator.
Proficiency in process engineering calculations and simulation tools, including HYSYS and PIPESIM.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Flexible and able to support cross-functional operational needs.
Willing to travel onshore and offshore as required.
Sarawakian candidates are preferred.
