Process Technician
Job Description:
The Role: Process Technician Provides technical support to engineers to ensure production goals of the organization are met. Provides assistance related to the review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment & processes. May suggest or implement equipment purchases, modifications or calibration changes that could result in improved productivity or reduced costs related to production. What You'll Do:
- Provide technical support to engineer on samples new tools and materials to determine the most appropriate tools, materials and methods to be used in the manufacture of company products.
- Trouble shooting plastic injection molding process problem to identify the root cause, advice on tooling, equipment & processes problem.
- Provide guidelines for set-ups for processing under optimal molding condition.
- Conduct continuous improvement project to improve / optimize plastic injection molding process to meet customer expectation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Keep work area clean of debris.
- Responsible to attend technical issue in production. Ensure all products in production comply with all Quality requirements and handled according to established procedures. Work with operation team to ensure quality product produced for customer shipment on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned. What We Seek:
- Diploma or Certificate in Plastic Injection Molding / Mechanical Engineering / Machining / Manufacturing Engineering or any other related field.
- Minimum 5 years working experience with an exposure to Plastic injection Molding, basic mathematics, systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving approach.
- Exposure on operating related molding equipment i.e. MTC, Robotic fixtures etc.
- Expertise in RJG Scientific injection molding. Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
- Knowledge on extrusion and molding.
- Ability to troubleshoot aesthetic and dimension-related injection molding defects.
- Ability to troubleshoot auxiliary equipment and process related issues.
- Ability to train and improve on molding skills / processes.
- Ability to feedback on tooling repairs / improvements and / or modifications.
- Knowledge of proper polymer processing and drying techniques.
- Knowledge of tooling construction relative to injection molding.
- ISO 19000 / ISO14000 and process documentation knowledge.
