Job Description

Key Areas Of Responsibilities

Your tasks will vary depending on the company's direction at that moment in time; however, as a Procurement and Project Specialist you'll typically be handling:

  • Procurement and Logistics
  • Manage end-to-end supply chain, ensuring smooth operations from sourcing to distribution.
  • Coordinate inventory movements with efficiency and accuracy between all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Operations to procure various products.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts for favorable terms and optimal pricing..
  • Ensure procurement and logistics meet quality and safety standards.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and monitor procurement costs, contributing to overall financial health.
  • Maintain SOPs and Price Master List for consistency.
  • Improve procurement processes for supply chain objectives.
  • Mitigate risks through strategic guidelines, ensuring uninterrupted supply chain operations.
  • Enhance vendor management and analyze date to improve supplier performance.
  • Contribute to setting industry-leading benchmarks for business processes
  • HALAL Compliance:
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure inventory items have current Halal certifications per JAKIM regulations.
  • Assist departments in maintaining Shariah compliance and provide timely certification responses.
  • Monitor and validate Halal certificates, ensuring adherence to standards in procurement processes.
  • Project Operations:
  • Lead procurement for new outlet openings, including equipment and stock.
  • Evaluate potential suppliers for innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate across departments for optimized inventory levels.
  • Ensure strict adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications / Experiences / Skills

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or any related field.
  • 0 - 3 years of working experience.
  • Strong analytical and observation skills. Possess the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, capable of independent judgement to make informed decisions in response to evolving situations or challenges.
  • Strong team player, willingness to learn and receive all kinds of feedback, with a proactive attitude.
  • Observe situations from both a micro and macro perspective.
  • Strong problem solving skills, able to identify challenges and implement solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Prior experience in any F&B related industry will be an added advantage.
