Role Overview
We're looking for a Procurement Category Specialist to lead the sourcing and supplier management activities across our Marketing and Professional Business Services categories.
This role covers a diverse portfolioincluding creative & media agencies, digital marketing services, market research, consulting, legal, audit, insurance, training, temporary labor, and other business services. You'll negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensure best-in-class commercial terms, and support stakeholders in driving efficiency, quality, and innovation. Working closely with local, regional and global teams, you'll contribute to the development and execution of sourcing strategies, lead supplier performance discussions, and support compliance across procurement activities. Responsibilities
- Act according to the Procurement purpose, vision, strategies and governance
- Promote a one team spirit to enable sharing of best practices and knowledge
- Ensure adherence to defined governance, policies, and processes
- Protect all company assets by putting in place internal control system and procedures
- Protect the reputation of Asahi by following applicable legislation
- Advocate and foster sustainable Procurement (incl. CSR) and procurement innovation strategies and projects.
- Support the development and execution of category strategies for marketing (media, creative, digital, activation, events) and professional services (consulting, legal, audit), aligned with business needs and market dynamics.
- Support the execution strategic sourcing plans to maximize the value for the business.
- Support the management and tracking of respective category plans and budgets including objectives, key value drivers and related KPI's.
- Support risk management for respective categories focusing on extended agenda: price volatility, supplier stability, and product or service availability.
- For respective categories support development and maintenance of strong partnership with suppliers including performance and quality assurance.
- Build strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, communications, legal, finance) to understand business needs and ensure effective procurement engagement.
- Contribute to Procurement operational excellence
- Support continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with the overall Asahi strategy and external benchmarks
Requirements
- University degree, preferably in Business related field (master's degree preferred)
- 5+ years of professional experience, 2+ years of which in Procurement (Marketing and Professional Services value added)
- International experience from a multinational company
- Advanced MS office skills
- Procurement platform/-SAP Ariba.
