Job Summary
This role manages the full procurement and supplier lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluating, and developing local and global suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency. It leads strategic sourcing initiatives such as contract negotiations, cost analysis, and identifying alternative suppliers while overseeing daily purchasing operations through ERP systems to ensure timely material delivery. The role ensures compliance with procurement policies and quality standards, supports cross-functional teams on new product introductions, and provides data-driven insights to improve supply chain performance and achieve cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management:- Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers to strengthen the supply chain
- Source and evaluate supplier from local or global market while ensuring supplier qualification meets the requirement.
- Develop and maintain long-term partnerships to build a healthy industry chain and ensure reliability and quality.
- Review supplier agreement and ensuring supplier under approved vendor list continues to comply with company policy and requirement.
Strategic SourcingLead negotiations for pricing, delivery terms, contract and service agreements.Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.Search for alternative source for sole source and long lead time material, component and services also assist in new supplier setup.Collecting & analyse data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve the material cost savings & efficiency.Procurement Operations- Issue and follow up on purchase request and purchase orders using ERP systems.
- Follow up on open PO and coordinate with logistics to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Track KPIs and reporting on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Regulatory Compliance- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
- Assist Supply Chain Management on developing policies, processes, and systems to strengthen procurement governance.
- Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams to resolve non-conformances from supplier.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Support- Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Production team on new product introductions (NPIs).
- Participate NPI meetings, ensure material delivery to meet trial run schedule.
- Provide cost breakdowns and supplier quotes for pricing strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 3 Year of experience in sourcing and procurement in regulated manufacturing industry. Having experience working in medical device industry is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and other relevant office tools.
- Experience working with international suppliers and global sourcing.
- Ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries and operate successfully in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving skills, good team player with a can-do attitude.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
