Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's retail and merchandise objectives.
- Source, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including order processing, logistics, customs clearance, and delivery scheduling.
- Handle all freight forwarding arrangements for both import and export activities.
- Track and report key procurement metrics to control costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to anticipate product demand and align purchasing strategies.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical procurement practices.
- Continuously assess and improve procurement processes for increased efficiency and value.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in procurement, preferably within the retail, merchandise, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, supply chain operations, and procurement best practices.
- Practical experience in freight forwarding, customs documentation, and international logistics.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent systems).
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
