Job Description

Purpose of the role

You will be responsible for providing leadership to develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies for various promotional print, promotional packaging, secondary packaging, retail displays, signages, visibility items, POS semi-permanent, POS permanent, premium, gifts-n-promos, logistics and services to maximize the value delivered to clients while meeting the business objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop sourcing and procurement strategies to implement strategic partnership with key suppliers in Malaysia market
  • Develop sourcing plans for all categories and manage their execution
  • Conduct market price check with outside suppliers to ensure competitiveness of established suppliers
  • Be responsible for identification of new suppliers in local market
  • Development of contractual terms that minimise risk and negotiate opportunities to maximise profitability
  • RFP pricing for new business or existing clients, which may include pricing for regional RFPs
  • Effective and efficient negotiation for best price, deliver on saving targets, and building of rate contracts
  • Participate in the rate contract development process
  • Contract and Commercials - Participate in the contract development process to include payment terms, warranties, PS fees, early payment discounts
  • Support and liaise with QA-QC testing teams and internal clients including developing ways ow working, workflows and standards.
  • Establish end-to-end process from client brief through to final delivery including quality control and cross-border logistics

Skills, knowledge, experience and exposure

  • Minimum 5 years procurement and sourcing experience, preferably within the beverage industry or consumer brands
  • Experience managing procurement of POSM (Point of Sale Materials) such as in-store displays, shelf branding, posters, wobblers, and activation materials
  • Experience sourcing and managing promotional premiums, including branded merchandise, gift-with-purchase items, and campaign giveaways
  • Strong negotiation skills, commercially aware, and able to manage budgets accurately
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple suppliers and production timelines
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate clearly across both internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, brand teams) and external suppliers
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced campaign environments
