Procurement Manager

1. Core Position Orientation

As the core person in charge of factory procurement, based in Johor Bahru, fully responsible for the procurement management of raw materials and packaging auxiliary materials required for factory production, build a procurement system, control procurement costs and quality, ensure the material supply for pre-cooked food, clean vegetables and sauce production, and support the factory to be put into production smoothly in August-September and subsequent stable operation.

2. Core Job Responsibilities

1. Procurement System Construction: Establish and improve the factory's procurement management system and processes, select, evaluate and maintain suppliers (food ingredients, packaging auxiliary materials, etc.), build a stable and cost-effective procurement supply chain, especially focusing on the docking of export procurement related needs.
2. Procurement Coordination: Responsible for the procurement of all raw materials and packaging auxiliary materials required for factory production, including clean vegetables, frozen pre-cooked food, normal temperature sauces, vegetables, meat, seafood, aquatic products, poultry eggs, condiments, inner bags, outer bags, low-consumption products, etc. Formulate procurement plans according to production plans to ensure timely supply of materials and avoid supply shortages or backlogs.
3. Cost and Quality Control: Optimize procurement costs, negotiate procurement prices, payment terms, etc., and control procurement costs within a reasonable range. Strictly control the quality of purchased materials, dock with the Quality Control Manager, establish material acceptance standards, and prevent unqualified materials from entering the warehouse to ensure product production quality.
4. Team and Coordination: Establish a procurement team (1-2 people initially), responsible for the daily management, training and assessment of the team. Cooperate with the Factory Manager, Production Supervisor and Quality Control Manager, dock with operations, synchronize production needs and procurement progress, and coordinate to solve problems such as material shortages and quality abnormalities in the procurement process.
5. Compliance and Risk Control: Familiar with the relevant laws, regulations and procurement requirements in Malaysia to ensure the compliance of procurement processes. Do a good job in procurement account management, track material price fluctuations, and avoid procurement risks. Cooperate with the factory's compliance management to ensure that the procurement link meets local relevant requirements.

3. Job Requirements

1. Work experience in Singapore or Malaysia is preferred; those familiar with the resources of local food ingredients and packaging auxiliary materials suppliers in Singapore and Malaysia will be given extra points.
2. Professional Background: More than 3 years of procurement management experience in the food industry; those with procurement experience in pre-cooked food, clean vegetables and sauces are preferred. Familiar with the characteristics, procurement channels and quality standards of raw materials and packaging auxiliary materials required for food production.
3. Work Experience: Have experience in procurement team management, able to independently build a procurement system, select suppliers and negotiate procurement cooperation. Have procurement experience in Singapore and Malaysia, and understand local procurement compliance requirements and material market prices are preferred.
4. Core Competencies: Strong cost awareness and quality control ability; outstanding negotiation and communication coordination skills, able to quickly respond to production procurement needs. Good pressure resistance, able to properly handle emergencies in the procurement process (such as material shortages, quality abnormalities). Able to accept long-term work in Johor Bahru.
5. Other Requirements: Rigorous and meticulous in work, with good sense of responsibility and execution, and perfect procurement account management ability. Those with experience in overseas procurement processes will be given extra points.

Salary Range: 10,000 MYR - 20,000 MYR
