Procurement Sourcing Manager
Location: Selangor, Malaysia
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Sourcing Department, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, timelines, and performance targets.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and adaptable to market dynamics.
- Establish and maintain effective cross-functional coordination with material planning, sales, marketing, finance, production, quality assurance, and R&D teams
- Drive end-to-end sourcing performance across the supply chain lifecycle, including cost optimization, supplier quality, and on-time delivery of materials and services.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Uphold and enforce the company's code of ethics within the sourcing function.
- Source components and materials while negotiating pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage material cost forecasts and standard cost structures.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, providing feedback and aligning on production and demand forecasts.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure stable and efficient procurement operations.
- Support R&D activities, including technical discussions, supplier coordination, delivery timelines, and quotation management.
- Support engineering changes, product line extensions, and new product launches, ensuring smooth material and production transitions.
- Collaborate closely with Finance to support accurate product costing and financial planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing engineering components and materials.
- At least 5 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
- Strong understanding of industrial procurement practices, policies, and procedures.
- Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and MS Excel.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and planning capabilities.
- Possesses own transport and is flexible for frequent business travel.
