Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Procurement Specialist based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing purchase orders, evaluating suppliers, and conducting contract negotiations to ensure optimal procurement processes. The role includes analyzing purchasing trends, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies, and working closely with internal departments and external vendors to meet organizational objectives effectively.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Purchase Orders and Procurement processes
- Basic experience with Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation
- Basic analytical Skills for identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving procurement strategies
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for effectively managing vendor relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with local regulations and compliance standards in the procurement industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or any related field is preferred
- Experience in the offshore energy or maritime industry is an advantage
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools
