Position Overview
Are you a tech-savvy communicator who loves diving deep into how things work We are looking for a Product Expert to join our team in Penang. Unlike a traditional salesperson, you will be the brain behind our offerings. Your goal is to provide expert-level consultations, solve customer pain points through deep product knowledge, and drive revenue through trust and technical authority.
- Key Responsibilities1. Consultative Sales & DemonstrationsAct as the primary technical contact for potential clients, providing in-depth product demonstrations and walkthroughs.
- Analyze customer requirements and prescribe the most effective solutions from our product portfolio.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets by converting high-intent leads into long-term partners.
- 2. Subject Matter ExpertiseMaintain an advanced understanding of product specifications, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in the Northern Region.
- Translate complex technical features into clear, value-driven benefits for customers.
- Conduct product training sessions for clients and internal support teams.
- 3. Pipeline & Relationship ManagementManage the full sales cycle: from initial technical inquiry to closing and post-sale follow-ups.
- Utilize CRM tools to track lead progress and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Collaborate with the Operations and Marketing teams to share market feedback for future product improvements.
- 4. Post-Sales Technical SupportProvide high-level troubleshooting and guidance for customers during the initial onboarding or installation phase.
- Build long-term loyalty by ensuring customers maximize the value of their purchase.
- RequirementsEducation: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 2–4 years in Sales, Business Development, or a Product Specialist role.
- Communication: Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. (Ability to speak Mandarin or Hokkien is a significant advantage for the Penang market).
- Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and presentation tools (PowerPoint/Canva).
- Attributes: Self-motivated, analytical, and able to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
