As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Product Manager (AI) to define and drive our AI product strategy.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience building AI/ML-powered products—not just using AI tools, but translating AI research capabilities into commercially viable features for KYB/KYC, compliance, and corporate intelligence use cases.
You will work at the intersection of AI Research, Data Analytics, and Engineering to shape the next generation of Handshakes Data & AI offerings.
As a Product Manager (AI), the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Define and own the AI product strategy and roadmap: both enhancing existing products with AI/ML capabilities and incubating new AI-native offerings.
- Translate AI/ML research capabilities into commercially viable product features (e.g., entity resolution, risk scoring, NLP-based due diligence, knowledge graphs).
- Collaborate with AI Research and Data Analytics teams to identify high-impact AI use cases and prioritise based on feasibility and business value.
- Drive the product lifecycle for AI features from concept through launch, including defining success metrics, running experiments, and iterating.
- Stay current on AI/ML trends (LLMs, generative AI, AI agents) and evaluate applicability to Handshakes product suite and compliance/KYB domain.
- Work with Engineering to define technical requirements, data pipelines, and model integration patterns.
- Engage with customers and Sales to validate AI product concepts and gather feedback on AI-driven features.
- Ensure responsible AI practices: data privacy, model transparency, and bias mitigation in compliance-critical applications.
To qualify for this role, you would have:
- Bachelor's degree required (Computer Science, Data Science, or related field is a plus); advanced degree in AI/ML is a plus but not required.
- 3–7 years of product management experience, with meaningful experience in AI/ML product development.
- Demonstrated experience launching 0→1 or managing AI/ML-powered products (not just using AI tools, but building AI into products), including pricing.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts: model lifecycle, training data, evaluation metrics, and deployment patterns.
- Ability to bridge technical AI teams and business stakeholders; translate complex AI capabilities into user-facing value.
- Experience defining product requirements for data-intensive or ML-driven features.
- Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in RegTech, compliance, KYB/KYC, or corporate intelligence domain.
- Familiarity with NLP, knowledge graphs, entity resolution, or graph analytics.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI, or AI agent frameworks.
- Technical background (CS, data science, or engineering degree) or prior technical role.
- Experience with responsible AI / AI governance in regulated industries.
Work Arrangement - 3 days work in office on hybrid working as per company policy.
