Job Summary
The Product Manager, Business Banking, specialising in Supply Chain Financing (SCF), will be responsible for the end-to-end strategy, development, and management of our SCF product suite. This role is critical for driving the successful implementation and growth of the SCF portfolio, ensuring strong alignment with market needs, business objectives, and all relevant regulatory and legal requirements. The scope of work focuses on leveraging technology to deliver an ideal and compliant financing experience for businesses across their supply chain.
Job Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Development (SCF Focus):
- Design, develop, and deliver a range of Supply Chain Financing products, including but not limited to payables finance (reverse factoring), receivables finance, and distributor finance.
Lifecycle Management
- Drive the entire product development lifecycle from requirement gathering, user story and release to ensuring high quality, scalability, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Market Research and Analysis (SCF Focus):
- Conduct deep market research, competitive analysis, and stay informed about global SCF industry trends, emerging technologies and new financing models to continuously drive product innovation and enhancement.
Stakeholder and User Experience:
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to define user requirements and ensure seamless platform experience.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor product performance, execute go-to-market strategies, and drive adoption through marketing and strategic partnerships.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant advanced certification (e.g., certified Treasury Professional) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant experience in Business Banking or Commercial Banking, with a strong, demonstrable focus on Supply Chain Financing product management or a closely related field (e.g., trade finance, corporate lending).
- Specialised Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of the mechanics, credit/risk analysis, and legal frameworks associated with various SCF structures.
- In-depth knowledge of business workflows, corporate treasury management, and how different types of businesses leverage supply chain solutions for working capital optimisation.
- Experience with digital platforms, fintech integrations, and developing API-driven financing solutions is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with large corporate clients (anchor buyers), internal teams, and non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate complex financial concepts and regulatory requirements into clear product specifications.
- Good understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements for trade and supply chain finance, including knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations specific to cross-border transactions and corporate banking.
