About The Job Product Manager
Our client is a well known global MNC automotive brand in the premium segment. They are looking for a qualified individual to fill the role as Product Manager / Senior Manager. The incumbent will be rResponsible for end-to-end activities from Product Strategy (Product evaluation, Proposal, Business case, Pricing, Homologation, POS & market Introduction), Identify profitable opportunities that meet market needs, Launch new products into the market, Lifecycle management of products already in the market, Pricing strategy for existing & new models in the market, Homologation of new models. Provide support on Technical Training of NSC and Dealer staff on new models and features.
Product
- Structure and organize the product portfolio.
- Enhance the product portfolio in line with competition & Market requirement.
- Develop the product calendar in line with launch plan & local requirement.
- Manage the product development in line with Volume Planning & Targets.
- Build a product value analysis and knowledge vs competition for dealership.
- Introduce New products and variants timely to capture opportunities and maximize sales.
- Introduce / omit features on car lines based on feedback from sales and dealers.
- Plan the long range volume plan (LRP) & engine mix plan.
- Introduce & Test new features for smooth market introduction.
Pricing
- Timely pricing of business case initiative as per the competition requirement.
- Plan and execute the timely business case with HQ/ Region.
- Manage an attractive pricing product portfolio for MY model year changes.
- Timely pricing & specification communication to Sales, Marketing, Retailer Network and website engines.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor and track market intelligence (segment share, competition products).
- Dealer feedback, customer feedback, price trends, consumer preferences, market research survey results etc.
- Updated management on the range of product options available , competition, market growth and pricing strategies in order to influence the product plans.
Product & Technical Training
- Provide support on Product training & Technical material development for dealer staff training.
- Manage Training Supplier and Training resource to ensure dealer staff are adequately trained.
- Coordination with Regional Competency team and introduce new applicable development in market.
Product Marketing
- Inputs on Brochures, POS.
- Product data/Inputs for Press Launch events.
- Ensuring smooth product launch by ensuring product related communication with all departments.
Homologation
- Homologation of new models & variants for the year.
- Testing of product vehicles as per testing agency requirement.
- Homologation process coordination with agencies to facilitate the certification process for new cars and variants.
- Ensure complete documentation & testing of cars towards certification.
Product Launch
- Lead the planning and execution of all new product launches.
- Create the launch cadence and have regular discussions with the various stakeholders until the product launch is completely executed.
- Main presenter during the product launch event.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Degree qualification
- At least 5 years experience in product management preferably in the automotive industry.
- Competent in product analysis, product pricing strategies, product planning, product competior analysis, and a good product presenter during launch event.
- Good communication skills, possess a can-do attitude, a team-player, self- driven and able to work independently.
